I am honored to be running for reelection to the Manalapan Township Committee. My husband of 44 years, Eli and I have called Manalapan home for 34 years. My son Erik, my grandson Ari & my mom Isabelle Unger, all call Manalapan home
My Community Service in Manalapan began in 1996 as founding member of the Manalapan Domestic Violence Team, the 1st in Monmouth County. I am honored to continue to still be its president since 1998. It is important to help the drug problem that we have in our community by continuing support of the work of the volunteers of the Manalapan Community Alliance & Project Zero, a program bringing awareness to drug prevention and addiction.
It is a privilege to serve the town I love and help make the quality of life better for our residents. I appreciate the amazing volunteers that we have that make a great difference to our town. To improve transparency, I brought the Town Hall meetings on the road and brought "Meet the Mayor" to help you voice your concerns. As your public information officer, I do my best to keep you informed of power outages, Township events and emergencies. Bringing the Shop Manalapan 1st program to Manalapan, helping residents save over $142,713.39 so far in tax credits. During the Covid -19 pandemic delivering food to those in need and helping to set up food distribution with our Mayor and Township Committee was important to the quality of life for our seniors, veterans and most vulnerable residents.
Together with my colleagues, we brought a unique partnering of our Volunteer First Aid and private paid squad to provide unparalleled service for our residents. I will continue to support and strengthen all of our emergency services to keep our community safe.
There is still work to be done. I hope you agree that I have been accountable and accessible. If given the opportunity I will continue to focus on the issues that are important to the residents such as cutting spending, emergency preparedness, open space, road improvements, and shared services just to name a few.
I respectfully request your vote and support on November 3th to continue to continue to keep Manalapan "A great place to live"
